Dag banjica, kanjon Gradašničke reke

This is truly a very special place. It is very close to the city of Pirot, just 4 km away, yet secluded enough to make you feel like you are in the true wilderness. The Gradašnica River, which actually carved the canyon, is turquoise in color, just like in the pictures, and fills several pools along the trail that are suitable for wading and swimming. At the end of the trail, there is a larger pool as well as a spring where you can fill up with water. The water is warm all year round, by the way, at around 29°C. There are many places in Serbia that can rival this canyon, but most of them are not as accessible to everyone. Dag Banjica really stands out in that regard. The 2.5 km trail is suitable for both young and old, and it is well maintained and wide enough that nobody will feel unsafe.
