Natural swimming spot at Baranica, Knjaževac

Passing through Knjaževac, I briefly stopped by Baranica and was immediately impressed. The rocks surrounding this place give it a special character, while the water is crystal clear, making it a perfect natural swimming spot. It is ideal for swimming, and you can also see small fish swimming close to the shore. It was only later, after walking around and reading more about the place, that I learned that Baranica is actually an important archaeological site as well. The cave at this site contains remains of a cave lion and a cave hyena, which is truly incredible. It turned out that this place is historically very significant, while at first I had experienced it simply as a beautiful and peaceful place for swimming.
